QUESTION: What if I want to change to a different class of registration for the upcoming year or I don’t plan to continue my registration at all?
Please see Changes to Registration Class for information about your options and instructions.
Renewal Requirements:
College bylaws for registration renewal require a registrant to complete all of the following:
Registration Renewal Deadlines:
Registration renewal for the coming year is to be completed on or before November 30th of the current year.
Consequences of missed deadlines:
IMPORTANT: Pay close attention to your email Inbox between October and January to ensure you don’t miss any important reminders or notifications regarding your registration renewal. If you suspect you may be missing notifications, ensure they aren’t being filtered to your Spam/Junk folders or ‘blocked’ entirely by your email server.
QUESTION: What do I do if my registration is cancelled??
There are a few possible pathways back to registration established within the bylaws after cancellation for failing to renew. The applicable pathway will depend upon why your registration was cancelled and possibly also how much time has passed since the cancellation was in effect.
For a breakdown of the options depending upon your situation, see Cancellation and Pathways Back to Registration.
The above requirements and deadlines are established in the CVBC Bylaws [Part 1 – Governance, section 1.82 (Failure to pay annual registration fee); and Part 2 – Registration, section 2.27 (Registration renewal) and section 2.28 (Reinstatement following non-payment of fees)] and must be enforced without discretion by the Registrar.
