Interruption in Service

The CVBC understands that there are situations which result in an interruption of veterinary service, such as wildfires, floods and building emergencies. The unexpected unavailability of staff, especially the DR, may also require the practice or facility to drastically change their availability or hours.  Please review the PFAC Policy: Drug Security and Continuity of Care during Unexpected Interruptions of Service to help navigate your practice or facility during this time. The policy includes information on how to secure your controlled drugs and how to ensure continuity of care for your clients.

These considerations may also apply with planned relocations of practices or facilities.

Each practice or facility’s situation will be unique. Please contact us at facilities@cvbc.ca if you have any questions relating to your practice or facility.
